Mondial Assistance UK has restructured its sales team just a fortnight before it becomes Allianz Global Assistance, according to Postonline.
The reshuffle is an attempt to maximise existing relationships and harness new development opportunities. Lee Taylor has been promoted to chief sales officer, taking responsibility for all sales activity across the automotive, travel and health areas of the business.
Taylor steps into the role having spent four years as automotive sales director. Prior to that he was part of the Allianz Solutions team.
Corporate, travel and health sales director Ben Smart has moved to a sister company in the Middle East to become regional sales officer for the Middle East and Africa.
Automotive warranty manager Liz Grindell has moved up to head of warranty and finance and insurance. Grindell and her team have been key to the delivery of additional new product lines, such as MOT and tyre insurance and the impending launch of a cosmetic repair proposition.
Phil Carr, Jon Burgess, Jon Tolliday and Kate Codrington have all been involved with the changes. Serge Corel, chief executive of Mondial Assistance in the UK, said: "The new structure of the department builds on our existing foundations, with a focus on a collaborative approach to driving the business and potential opportunities over the months ahead.
"It is essential that we maintain and develop our diverse existing client portfolio, whilst looking for additional opportunities to expand product lines.
"Furthermore, the entry into new markets and in turn acquiring new clients is essential as part of our group's wider ambition for 2015. This will be a top priority as we migrate to Allianz Global Assistance."
