The perception that many small and medium sized enterprises cannot step up and compete alongside larger, blue chip companies is incorrect, says Phruit, a leading provider of telemarketing services. Through planned, cost effective outsourcing, it is possible for smaller companies to boost their offering and compete on a bigger playing field.

Outsourcing various functions helps an organisation to enhance its professional capabilities, whilst allowing it to deliver on core competences without compromising efficiency. The flexibility outsourcing affords also means a company can respond to demand without the complications of retraining or adjusting the workforce - ultimately increasing business opportunities.

Shashank Pande of Phruit explains, “It is vital for functions such as data collection to be carried out accurately and thoroughly – and this is a service that is most effectively carried out by an outside specialist provider. Other services, such as sales calls, can be easily outsourced also. This is not only a more cost-effective option than employing additional staff to do the job, or using existing staff whose time could be better spent on other projects, but also can give the impression of a larger organisation with a dedicated customer contact team.

Small and medium sized companies need not adopt the ‘small company’ attitude and miss out on greater business opportunities. Outsourcing necessary and relevant functions to a professional services provider can be an effective way of working smarter.
