F&C Investments PLC (LON:FCAM) have announced the appointments of Simon Bentley as Client Director and Simon Mooney as Institutional Sales Director as the business looks to strengthen its sales force. Along with these appointments the business has also appointed Lydia Puricelli as Marketing Manager.
Bentley and Mooney will report to head of UK institutional business and global consultants Julian Lyne, and head of UK institutional sales Emily Fitz-James respectively.
Bentley joins from UBS Global Asset Management where he was a client relationship manager responsible for institutional client relationships and sat on the real estate investment committee. He also helped develop the firm's liability-driven investment and fiduciary management capabilities.
Mooney joins from investment consulting firm P-Solve Asset Solutions where he worked in sales and business development. He was responsible for establishing relationships with pension funds as well as developing new business solutions including risk profile evaluation tools for pension scheme sponsors.
Lyne said the appointments would greatly strengthen F&C's capabilities in the institutional market and help to maintain and reinforce relationships with pension fund trustees and consultants. Elsewhere, the firm has hired Stuart Hastie as an associate director with responsibility for business development in its Edinburgh-headquartered private equity funds team.
