Guidewire Software, a global provider of core system solutions to general insurers, has affirmed its commitment to grow its presence in the UK and across Europe with the appointment of Stephen Butcher as Vice President for the EMEA region.
Butcher is a proven financial services technology executive with extensive experience in Global and Pan-European roles. He joins the company to build on the success of Guidewire's leading core claims system, ClaimCenter, and to spearhead growth across Guidewire's InsuranceSuite™ of core system solutions.
Butcher joins Guidewire from Delta Vision, a London based strategic consultancy, where he was Principal Consultant delivering and implementing solutions for a range of technology companies. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of the Solutions Division at Dealogic plc, a solutions provider for investment banking and capital markets. He has also held senior roles at SunGard Trading Systems, one of the world’s leading software and technology solutions companies. He will be based in Guidewire’s London office.

Guidewire has customers in the UK, France, Italy, Finland and Russia. The company's UK customers include: Beazley Group, QBE Europe, NFU Mutual, LV=, Towergate and Homeserve as well as other general insurance businesses in: London, Munich and in Paris.
