News - New EMEA Sales Director for Courion

Courion Corporation has announced the appointment of Mark Lee as its new Sales Director for EMEA. As Courion’s ability to deliver Access Assurance solutions increases momentum - including more than 70 blue chip clients in Europe - Lee has been tasked with building on Courion’s success in that region, as well as the Middle East and Africa. Lee will report directly to Chris Zannetos, president and CEO of Courion.

“Courion is perfectly positioned in the market to help solve some of the major issues that have a business-level impact on enterprises, especially with respect to access governance and compliance,” Lee explained. “I look forward to translating my leadership and experience in this market into new sales in order to help customers mitigate their access risk.”


Lee has more than a decade of experience in selling enterprise software across EMEA, as well as building partner programmes from scratch. Prior to Courion, Lee was responsible for building sales and channel programmes for Imprivata in Northern Europe. He built the company’s pre-sales and sales team, and also helped develop key strategic partnerships with Siemens, VMWare and Connecting for Health.


Prior to his position at Imprivata, Lee served as the EMEA Partner Manager for JBoss, where he implemented that company’s partner program and was responsible for building the channel in the UK and EMEA. He began his career at SilverStream Software, and later transitioned into a role as a sales manager at Novell when it acquired SilverStream in 2002.

“Marc’s experience in building and supporting a strong pan-European presence will prove invaluable to our growth across EMEA,” says Christopher Zannetos, president and CEO of Courion. “Additionally, his proven ability to understand organisations’ identity and access management challenges will address the needs of existing customers as well as enable Courion to continue its aggressive expansion of its customer base."
