Broadcast technology and systems support provider Rohde & Schwarz announced today that Richard Bloor has been appointed as Business Development Manager, reporting to managing director, Frank Mackel.
Richard joins Rohde & Schwarz from Tektronix, where he has worked since January 2004. He started with Tektronix as their Business Development Manager, responsible for increasing the market share of their oscilloscope business. He then became UK Direct Sales and Distribution Manager, in charge of managing Tektronix’ local sales organization and partner business relationships.
“With the launch of our new oscilloscope product line in June of last year, Richard’s track record in growing oscilloscope market share makes him the ideal candidate for this role,” said Frank Mackel. He added: “I look forward to working with Richard to build our reputation in this and other business segments.”
Commenting on his appointment, Bloor said: "I am very excited to be joining an organisation focused on developing technology and instrumentation that provide world leading solutions to our customers. The recently introduced RTO with its class leading acquisition, trigger and display capabilities is testament to Rohde & Schwarz innovative approach in meeting the needs and challenges that Engineers face today"”
Bloor previously worked for LeCroy as a Senior Sales Engineer and Comark as a Deputy Sales Manager and has more than 20 years of sales and business development experience in the electronics industry.
