News - CIPS knowledge partnership with CASME

CASME, the global membership network for corporate procurement, has announced a partnership agreement with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) to provide continuing professional development (CPD) hours for CIPS members who participate in CASME events.

CASME specialises in bringing procurement professionals together to share detailed knowledge and best practice, and runs over 175 events every year, as well as publishing research and benchmarking reports for its global network of over 10,000 members.
 
CIPS members, who are corporate subscribers of CASME and participate in RoundTable events and online Mini-RoundTables, will be awarded CPD hours and a certificate towards CIPS recognition for learning and maintaining professional procurement knowledge and skills.  Subscribers can log-in to the CASME Resource Centre (www.casme.com) to download their Certificate of Participation after attending an event.
 
As part of the agreement CASME will also make its Global Digest research reports available to CIPS members.  These provide best practice strategies on specific procurement categories and insight into future trends, which are compiled from input by experienced procurement managers.  CASME Global Digest reports are issued on a quarterly basis and are available for CIPS members to download at www.cips.org/CASME.
