Avention Inc, a leader in business information solutions, has appointed Paul Charmatz as Senior Vice President International. Paul, who is based in the London office, will lead the company’s growth in the European and AsiaPac divisions as the organisation looks to continue growing sales beyond its core US market.
Paul will support the company’s growth objectives through a vertical market strategy in Enterprise, an acquisition plan in SME and expansion in Asia Pacific.
Paul joins Avention at an exciting time in the company’s development, as the number of sales staff in international offices has increased by 20% in the last year as the company has brought its revamped product line to new geographies and platforms.
The company has also recently announced the launch of its Avention Partner Connect program, which enables partners to help their clients identify usable insights that improve the efficiency of sales, marketing, research and other business processes.
Paul is a specialist in growth and turnaround. He has 25 years’ international experience in the business information market, making him the ideal person to lead the development of the European and AsiaPac divisions. Notable positions include Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing for Europe, MD Benelux at Dun & Bradstreet and CEO at RM Information, where he created high-performing teams to execute growth strategies. Paul has also led a variety of businesses on the buy-side of business information, in the payment and telecoms sectors, and has headed up successful operations in Europe, Africa and South America and partner programmes in Asia.
Steve Pogorzelski, CEO of Avention, said: “Avention is passionate about enabling clients to achieve growth and Paul’s strong track record in driving development is ideally tailored to support this objective. We believe his extensive experience will help Avention reach its development goals in Europe and Asia Pacific, and we have already started to see the impact of his leadership as we all work to achieve our business development aims for 2015.”
Commenting on his appointment, Paul said: “The opportunities for growth in Europe and Asia Pacific are immense and Avention is already seeing results from its investment in these regions.
