British IT consultancy and services provider ECS today announced that, based on mid-year results, it predicts over 45 percent growth in 2014 with anticipated revenues of over £80m, making it one of the UK’s fastest-growing IT services businesses. This year’s rapid growth follows an 83 percent increase in turnover in 2013.
From its roots in the financial services sector, ECS has expanded its client portfolio in the last year across the retail, energy, FMCG and telecoms and media sectors. Clients include three of the four largest UK retail banks and two of the top four British supermarkets.
Reflecting its increased business both in the UK and internationally, in the last 18 months ECS has opened offices in Johannesburg and Leeds. The Pune, India, office now has over 60 staff while the office in Johannesburg employs 25. With a team of over 700 in the UK, ECS now has offices in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Leeds.
“We have built our reputation supporting large corporate customers as they undertake complex IT transformation programmes. At such times, clients want to rely on a team of experts with a proven track record of delivering on large, often high-risk projects within budget and on time,” said Paul Thomson, Group Chief Executive, ECS.
“There’s no doubt that we have been one of the industry’s best kept secrets with organic growth from word of mouth recommendations. We are now aiming to expand market awareness of our brand and increase understanding about how our flexible approach to IT services and our cost-effective programme delivery differentiates us from other multinational IT services companies,” added Thomson.
