Adam Chamberlain has been appointed sales director for Mercedes-Benz Cars, as the premium brand continues to build upon its sales growth and exciting new model line-up. Chamberlain takes up his new position in mid-April according to FleetNews.co.uk.
Chamberlain will report to Gary Savage, managing director, Mercedes-Benz Cars, who said: “It’s a really exciting time for Adam to join Mercedes-Benz and be a significant part of our continued sales growth.
Chamberlain replaces Mike Whittington, who was promoted to managing director Mercedes-Benz Retail Group Limited in January 2013. Chamberlain brings with him a wealth of automotive experience, holding management positions across Fiat Group
Automobiles and Volkswagen Group, most recently as sales director for Fiat Group Autos UK.
Commenting on his new role, Chamberlain explained: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Mercedes-Benz UK, and helping to continue to drive the company’s sales volumes upwards. The company has great products and a great network, and it’s a challenge I’m going to relish.”
