John Croft, former sales director at Co-operative Asset Management, has joined Sanlam Global Investment Solutions as head of UK and Europe for its freshly-acquired Bermuda-based investment firm P2International, according to FT Advisor.
Mr Croft began his career in the investment industry in 1982 with Standard and Poor, before moving to M&G in 1985. Since then he has worked for Deutsche AM and HSBC Global Asset Managers, and most recently spent two years at Co-operative AM.
Cobus Kruger, chief executive officer of P2 and managing director of Sanlam Global Investment Solutions, said Mr Croft’s experience of the adviser sector both on- and off-shore will help with what Mr Kruger terms a “vital area of the market” for the company.
Sanlam Investments announced the acquisition of P2 in May of this year. At the time P2 already operated in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
