News International have announced the appointment of new Sales Director Ian Dowds, Dowds joins from advertising network Specific Media where he was previously VP of UK revenue.

The appointment follows several changes to the News International commercial team with trading director, Dominic Carter, promoted to the new role of commercial director; head of business analytics, Steve Bottomley, to the post of business services director; and creative solutions director, Abba Newbery, has been appointed as director of advertising strategy.
