Contract caterer Elior has announced that it has scooped a massive deal worth about £35m to provide catering and hospitality services at all the sites of Everything Everywhere, the joint venture between telecom networks T-Mobile and Orange.
The contract award comes 17 months after BaxterStorey snaffled a one-year deal with T-Mobile from long-term incumbents CH&Co, while Elior had recently won the Orange business. The five-year deal will see Elior operate the staff restaurants, coffee bars and hospitality for about 9,000 Everything Everywhere employees, according to Caterer and Hotelkeeper.
"It's a significant win for Elior," said one industry insider. "Just what it needs after a period last year in which it didn't appear to perform as well as it would like."
It is understood that the French caterer's plan to provide a bespoke regional offer at each of the 15 sites nationwide, including head office and all call centres, as well an emphasis on health and well-being, were key drivers in the decision to award it the contract.
The consolidated contract is expected to start early December.
